Our holiday home is a new 3 bedroom house situated on Paku Hill with amazing views out to the Pacific Ocean and the beach only a short walk away.
The house has a modern open plan kitchen, dining area and living room. The doors slide open all along the front of the living area to a long deck making an outdoor/indoor flow and the sea and sun part of the room. You can't miss the many beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the large expanse of windows and decks.
Even in winter, it's warm and the heat pump keeps the evenings cosy. You can be anywhere in this space and only see the sea and sky. No need for a TV here!
To stay connected with family and friends, we now have wifi.
The BBQ, outdoor chairs and table on the large deck are situated out from the lounge where you can relax while you eat your meals, drink a beer or wine and see for ever.
The 3 bedrooms are all looking out to sea and opening onto a deck. They are modern and comfortable.
The Master bedroom has a queen bed, a fold out sofa single bed and an en-suite.
The second bedroom has a small double bed and a fold out sofa single bed.
The third bedroom has another double bed.
You can’t help seeing the ocean from your bed and the stars at night.
The garage/games room is used as an additional space for you to hang out while playing Pool or Table Tennis.

The Area
The house is situated on an elevated quiet cul-de-sac on Oceana Heights, Paku Hill. A beautiful place to be where you’ll hear nothing but birds and waves. If you are lucky, you can spot dolphins from the deck. The beach is a 7 minute walk along the beautiful scenic Oceana Walkway along the waterfront or a short drive down the hill. Old Mill Café or the Tairua Beach Club are situated at the base of the hill if you want to eat or get your coffee while you look out to the estuary.
Tairua has a beautiful surf beach with the estuary opposite. It’s a great place to surf, kayak, paddleboard and swim. The Kayak and Dive hire shop is by the boat ramp.
You can also take a ferry or Kayak to Pauanui.
The Tairua township is about a 30 minute walk or 5 mins drive where there are shops, supermarket, post office, doctors, hairdressers, library, pharmacy, restaurants, cafes and bars.
A golf course, playgrounds and tennis courts are also near to town.
There are many walks on Paku Hill, to the summit, around it, down to the rocks, caves and the beach.
Tairua is located within a 30minute drive to Whangamata, Thames, Whitianga, and Opoutere or a 20 minute drive to Cooks Beach, Hahei, Hot Water beach and Cathedral Cove. A 10 minute drive to Sailors Grave.
Special Conditions:
We do not allow camping or extra people staying on our property without prior approval. NO smoking and NO parties.
The house is accommodation for 6 people maximum.
Please leave the house clean and tidy when you leave. A blue council rubbish tag is supplied by the owner, but can also be purchased from the 4Square in town if more are required. Rubbish days are every second Thursday so please leave Red / Yellow rubbish bin and Green recycling bin (glass only) on road verge for collection or you can take it to the Rubbish Dump at 3 Red Bridge Road (opposite Cemetery) 24/7. Attach a blue tag to the red general rubbish bin.
A $500 refundable Damage Bond is required to ensure that the property is left in good and clean condition. This will be refunded once the property manager has confirmed that this has been done.
Extras:
Bring your own linen i.e. top sheet, bottom sheet, pillowcases and towels or this linen can be supplied at a cost of $25.00 per person.
We need to charge for cleaning on checkout to make sure the house is ready for the next Guest. Cleaning of $160 will be added to your quote / and this is passed on to the cleaner by us.
To speed up the booking process please clearly indicate at the time of your enquiry / booking if the linen is requested or not, we then can adjust your booking at that time and approve your booking promptly.
